The former Indomitable Lion died on June 27, 2024 as a result of a traffic accident in Obala. His memory was praised by several Cameroonian football players, including the Minister of Sports and Physical Education.
Landry Nguemo was born on November 28, 1985 in Yaoundé. He played as a defensive midfielder. In March 2012, Landry N’Guemo said in an interview with the daily newspaper L’Équipe that he had spent his childhood in Cameroon and had been brought to France by the Nantes network. He entered the AS Nancy-Lorraine training center, probably around the age of 16, and obtained his baccalaureate at the age of 17 despite missing the 2002 AFCON on television, won by his Cameroon team. He turned professional at the age of 19 and played 4 games in the reserve team.
